Incredible, A mazing
Jacob has already used it and says it works. Can you say greatest invention ever?
Simpsons x Kid Robot
I gotta get a couple of these from Kid Robot. Twenty four different that are retailing for $7.95. Not a bad stocking stuffer.
New Nike Sportswear Store Open
Nike has finally opened up thier new Sportswear store at 21 Mercer St.Nike has a site dedicated to their Fall 2008 Sportswear collection, including all jackets, pants, windrunners. Pretty dope site, I'm really diggin the scrolling feature the have that rotates each article of clothing. Check it out here.
I went to store the other day with Bende and it is very cool. All design associate boys from Nike iD, Izzy, Sammy, Mao, and Ray are working there now so holla at them if you roll through. They gave me the inside scoop on the expanded iD program that they are implementing there where you can build custom AF-1s from scratch...like legit from scratch...for $800 bones. They have all the fabrics etc for you to check out. Way more extensive of a process, which it should be for that price. Too rich for my blood but that is amazin. The nike design aesthetic is maintained throughout looks fresh. I will say everything in the store is uber expensive so I don't think I'll be coppin anything there but a sope extension of the brand fo sho.
Below is a video of a walkthrough the space so you can get a look for yourself.
I Am Addicted To The Olympics
I think it's just watching people who are the absolute best at what they do competing that gets me. Ok, well that and the ridiculous commentary.
Here are the top nine comments made by NBC sports commentators during the
Summer Olympics that they would like to take back:
1. Weightlifting commentator: "This is Gregoriava from Bulgaria . I saw her snatch this morning during her warm up and it was amazing."
2. Dressage commentator: "This is really a lovely horse and I speak from personal experience since I once mounted her mother."
3. Paul Hamm, Gymnast: "I owe a lot to my parents, especially my mother and father."
4. Boxing Analyst: "Sure there have been injuries, and even some deaths in boxing, but none of them really that serious."
5. Softball announcer: "If history repeats itself, I should think we can expect the same thing again."
6. Basketball analyst: "He dribbles a lot and the opposition doesn't like it. In fact you can see it all over their faces."
7. At the rowing medal ceremony: "Ah, isn't that nice, the wife of the IOC president is hugging the cox of the British crew."
8. Soccer commentator: "Julian Dicks is everywhere. It's like they've got eleven Dicks on the field."
9. Tennis commentator: "One of the reasons Andy is playing so well is that, before the final round, his wife takes out his balls and kisses them... Oh my God, what have I just said?"
Also, Elitaste.com asserts Wale was the first to use Michael Phelps in a verse, "Wale wanted to put it out there that on his 2005 demo track “Spectacular” (Left-Click) featuring DC’s finest, Raheem DeVaughn, he shouted out the Olympic champion. “Spectacular” ended up on his 2nd mixtape, PAINT A PICTURE"(Left-Click)

Get My Money Buy My Medicine
This is the video Snoop D O double Gs Jonny Cash inspired track My Medicine. I think errybody can relate to this one. (Big ups to Noelle for putting me on to this)
El Che
I personally can't wait for Rhymefest's new album El Che to come out. Che is actually Fest's real name--Pops musta been quite the revolutionary, eh? While we wait for the lead single with John Mayer to drop, here is Fest's new video for Stolen. Definitely a thought provoking track and video.
Also, here's a link to peep a couple of cuts (Left-Click), courtesy of Okayplayer, In Between and Forces of Nature that didn't make El Che but are dope produced by one Philly's ALL TIME GREATS DJ Jazzy Jeff.
Last, here's a colabo with fellow Allido member Wale Ain't Heard It From Me (Left-Click)

If You're Indian, Have a Gangsta Beard, And Are A BEAST on the Hammond B-3....Press 1
Dr. Lonnie Smith, a pillar in the jazz pantheon, is one of the most influential organists to ever man the helm of the Hammond B-3, an instrument he refers to paradoxically as both “the monster” and “the love of my life”.Check out his website to get the full picture but here's a lil taste. Also, gotta note that SamG put me onto this dude.
SeeqPod
Stumbled upon this site the other day, after reading about it on Wired.com's 10 Hottests Music Websites. It's pretty tight. It allows you to search the web for any available mp3s to stream from any artist and enables you to create a realtime playlist from the tracks you select. You can also play previously created mixes or post a link to a mix you've created for others to listen to

If I Only Had 3 Million Dollars
The Archive from Sean Dunne on Vimeo.
This guy's record collection is bananas--The largest archive in the world. DJs everywhere are creaming their pants
Follow up: I dug this article up. Apparently, this dude can't catch a break
White Magic
Robin Thicke's New JointMagic
This dude is rediculous--makes me feel like I'm listening to Marvin Gaye when he says "I've got concrete all around me." Can't wait till his new album drops.
The Rub Mixes--Let Me Learn You Somethin

Here are some insane mixes to download from The Rub. Each one pretty much a complete hip hop history, compiled by year, from some ill DJs (Ayers, Cosmo Baker, and Eleven). These sets are 2-3hrs long so be prepared to get engulfed and transported back in time. Shout out to Abe (get back to NYC already so we can kick it) for putting me onto these.
FYI, to download from right-click on the hyperlink and save to your desktop.

Hola

Since I just started I'm gonna put a lot of old shit up that I'm feelin even though you probably have seen/heard these already until I get caught up.
Peace and Love
